![]() Rating: - Be aware of the Intel & Microsoft MonopolyYou cannot beat the market dictatorship run by Intel together with Microsoft. AMD has created a much better processor than Intel and introduced it faster into the market, but the AMD Turion X2 64bit is not 100% supported by Microsoft. When I tried to install the Windows Vista 64bit, after 70% done the installation failed and when I tried the Windows Vista 32bit, it failed after 96%. 96% supported does not make it work. Some of Vista's include: Increased ... Read More Rating: - Unable to installI was unable to complete installation due to inadequate room on my hard drive. The only reason I'm giving it such a high review is that it has been well received by other people I know who have been able to install theirs, and I will continue to hold onto it until I get an upgrade on my own pc. Rating: - Most computers will run slower with this upgradeThere are many pros and cons to Microsoft Vista. If you are buying a new computer, then Vista is a good option. The computer manufacturer will have installed Vista, with all of the correct drivers. The modern computer will also likely be fast enough to run Vista. However, if you are looking at buying this product, then you are likely installing Vista on an existing computer. I installed Vista on a Dell with Intel hyper threading. This computer now runs about 80% as fast as it did before. I ... Read More Browse for similar items by category:
