I like to buy prewashed salad greens (just to make life easier), but the greens would get limp before I could finish a bag. Now I transfer them into the green bags--and they last 2 weeks. I do not close the bags tightly; I just put in the greens, and fold over. I have also used it to preserve melon halves. I had heard that they worked if you kept wiping the moisture out of them. Everything I put in them (strawberries, lettuce, etc) ...rotten. The strawberries were literally bad the very next day.
