At first, when searching I'd looked towards Sony for their microcassette recorders. Sony is also tiny, well made, and worth the price compared to the Olympus. But I wanted to test the Olympus out. The mic and speaker reproduce decently crisp recordings. For a low-end recorder, this is a great option for the money.
