Amazon.com Product Description:
Incredibly easy to use, this electric lawn and garden timer from Gilmour keeps your yard looking its best, even during hot summer months. The two-dial system with electronic keypad is a snap to set: Simply press Enter and listen for the audio beep to confirm program entry; the system will then repeat the watering cycle at the interval set. You can set the program to repeat every 24 hours or you can set it to skip a day. You can also choose a repeat interval from once every six hours up to once every seventh day, and you can set the watering duration from two minutes up to 120 minutes. There are also manual on/off settings that let you water exactly how often you wish, and a swivel nut for easy connection to the faucet. The timer requires two AA alkaline batteries (not included).

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Worst water timer out there
They replaced a great timer with this junk. I've had 8, none lasted more than 6 months. 2 were broken when I took them out of the box. 4 others didn't last 2 months. I bought them because the one they replaced averaged 3 years of constant use. I was sorely mistaken. What ever you do, don't buy this junk.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Gilmour Water Timer
Gilmour 9100 Water Timer
Of all the models available from this manufacturer I think the 9100 is the best, easiest, and uncomplecated of their range of products, very good quality too I have over the past 2 years added 2 more of these models to my watering system, and they are still going strong

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - price has gone up
I have owned four of these. Only one of them currently works. I have been using these timers (very successfully until recently) to water large vegetable pots and another to water a LARGE string of shrubs. I am experiencing the same problem reported by almost everyone else who is reporting problems - the units won't shut off and they flood my pots. I bought the first more than two years ago. I was going to order another one since this model had lasted longer than any other irrigation timer that I ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - automatic timer never worked
Automatic selections never worked on water timer. I had to push button everytime to get water to come on.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Not worth wasting your money on.
I have had several of this timer, and would not recommend them to anyone! They function for a few months then leak into their electronics or battery compartment making them non-functional. I have tried several different brands of settable timers, we have about ten (10) set up to water our various flower beds, and have found only the Vigoro and Ace Hardware (round green settable ones)ones worth their cost. Almost all of them either leak or stop functioning after one year or less.
